Ford software being lost with update?

So with all the talk about ford suing autel, my snap on dealer told me something about when I go to update the scanner I will lose the ford program. I have not updated my ds708 since I bought it almost a year ago. I was going to be updating it soon but am a little hesitant now as don't want to lose ford. Was wondering if any one else has heard this or updated the ds708 recently and what the out come was? -

Ford is still available and will remain available for the 708 but the programming
function will only be available for the masisys. -

Has Maxi Das lost Ford Immobilizer key programming , keyless entry remotes, ability to pull keyless entry codes, or power balance abilities? -

Not that I know of. I don't have one to verify but have not heard anything regarding
those issues.
